MoReVoX Elektromorph X
Elektromorph X is a drum replacement library of 20 kicks and 20 snares. It grew out of two MoReVoX classics, Elektromorph I and Elektromorph II, and carries their spirit twenty years later. These drums have the weight, dynamics and natural decay of real drums, with an electronic edge on top.
Every GOG is a complete instrument with six velocity layers and two round robins per layer. Each hit comes in two versions. The Direct is the drum itself, with its body, attack and natural decay. The Distortion is a distorted twin of the same hit, sample-aligned and in phase with the Direct. It adds crispness, harmonics and presence without touching the body of the drum.
In Drumagog 6, the Direct plays on the DIRECT channel and the Distortion plays on a room channel named Distortion. That channel starts at -12 dB, so the Direct always leads. Raise the Distortion fader for more bite, or mute it to hear the pure drum. Because the two are in phase, they add up cleanly at any setting.
Four distortion characters give each GOG its own color.
- TUBE gives warm, rounded saturation.
- FUZZ gives hard-clipped aggression.
- FOLD adds metallic overtones.
- CRUSH adds lo-fi digital grit.
The kicks run from long, deep booms of up to two seconds to short, punchy hits under half a second. On the snare side, you get everything from dark, tuned-down bodies to bright, open cracks with natural wire buzz. Use them to replace a weak take or to reinforce a good one. They also make a strong starting point for a sound of your own.
