Kilproduction Audio Rock & Metal Drum Sample Library 1

These drums come from a metal album session, where Kilproduction Audio captured a DW kit in a small, muted drum room. Because the room is so dry, the drums leave plenty of space for your own processing. The toms are tuned for a clear, melodic tone. Nothing was processed when the drums were recorded and edited.

The library holds 373 samples at 24-bit and 44.1 kHz in 12 GOG files. You get one kick and one snare with four dynamic layers each, plus four toms with two dynamic layers each. On the kick, snare and toms, every layer has six round robins. The hi-hat brings pedal, closed and open articulations. For cymbals, there is a crash, a crash trash, a china and two stacks.

Several microphones were recorded for every drum. The kick, toms and hi-hat each have a close mic with stereo overheads and a stereo room mic. On the snare, a bottom mic joins the top mic, overheads and room. In Drumagog 6, the close mic plays on the DIRECT channel and the other mics play on room channels with their own faders. For the cymbals and stacks, the overheads and the room mic sit on separate channels for blending.
