Parallel processing has been a favorite studio technique for decades. Parallel Drums brings it into drum replacement by using the room channels of Drumagog 6 in a new way. Each sound has three parallel processing channels where the room mics would normally be. You blend them in real time with the room faders.
- The Compression channel was built with some of the most respected compressors ever made, including the Neve 33609, the SSL bus compressor, the UA 1176 and the Distressor.
- The Exciter channel adds parallel harmonic distortion from the Evol Audio Fucifier for extra bite, grit and presence.
- The Space channel blends the real rooms of the original sessions with signature MoReVoX reverbs for a deep, wide ambience.
Think of it as having several copies of the same drum on a console, each on its own channel with its own processing. Every parallel layer comes from the original drum recordings. MoReVoX ran them through high-end analog chains with harmonic exciters and reel-to-reel tape simulation. That is why the layers sit so naturally alongside the dry sound.
